Dear Members of the British Chamber,
You will have a unique opportunity to view the stunning visitor experience at the heart of the UK Pavilion which features graphene, the 2D material that was isolated in Manchester but set to make a global impact as one of the most transformational technologies of our age. Such unprecedented technological advances, plus rapid changes in demographics, the geo-political landscape and the behaviour of our global climate, will all present massive challenges and opportunities for the energy industry.
Along with the opportunity to visit the UK Pavilion, you will also get to hear from world-leading experts from the University of Manchester. They will describe how the work taking place in the University is shaping the development of the energy systems of the future. On June 21st you can hear from colleagues working in the areas of energy networks, solar, wind power and materials. On June 28th you can hear from colleagues working in the areas of oil & gas, nuclear energy and bioenergy.
The showcase will begin at 1.00pm with a welcome and an opportunity to tour the visitor experience at the UK Pavilion. This will be followed by our themed discussion entitled ‘Energyrevolution: what will the energy sector look like in 20 years?’
If you have specific issues that you would like to discuss with the University team, we can also arrange for one to one meetings to be held. Please contact to discuss this in more detail.
We look forward to meeting you.
