On October 29th Jonathan Grant of London’s GHLD Accountants delivered for members of British Chamber of Commerce, via Zoom, a fascinating seminar on some of the details of Brexit under the title “ As the Transition Period Ends – The UK Leaving the European Union”.
Jonathan explained the timings of the Brexit process and how the decision to leave the European Union can neither be reversed nor postponed any further. He also very helpfully outlined the key issues that may arise in the event of the Transition Period coming to an end in two months time and the conflicting scenarios that may arise of a Trade Agreement either being in existence then, or there being no Trade Agreement at all, at which point the rules of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) are likely to be applied. It was truly a very informative occasion.
There were a number of questions from the audience, before the seminar ended after an hour that had been very well spent.
Jonathan’s advisory notes from the seminar can be downloaded below in the attachments.
