The British Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Almaty on 18 June 2019.
Members based in Atyrau joined the meeting via video connection.
The venue for Almaty of AGM was kindly provided by PwC.
Atyrau members gathered in the Wood Group office.
Vice – Chairman of the Committee – Almas Kudairbergen chaired the Meeting.
He thanked all members for the activities within the BCC and kindly asked to share ideas and initiatives to promote BCC work in Kazakhstan.
The vice-chairman made a presentation, and summary of our events and achievements throughout the last year, this included a number of high profile visits from UK VIP’s, trade envoys and social/ networking events, we were all pleased to hear that the number of members has increased significantly since the Chamber was established in Kazakhstan.
The members exchanged their views on further BCC work and plans for the future.
During the AGM the annual accounts of the Chamber for the year ended 31 December 2018 were reviewed and approved and also declared the results of the Committee elections.
Almas Kudaibergen, Kathryn Walsh, Quintin Goldie, Lance Rutter and Ashley Clarke were elected as Committee members.
After the official part of the AGM, members enjoyed an informal reception, and networking opportunity over complimentary food and drinks.
