Dear Members and Partners,
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the seminar organized in cooperation with DeMontfort University Kazakhstan, on topic ‘Supply chain risk management and resilience’.
Oil and gas sector comprise three main activities: (a) upstream (exploration and production), (b) midstream (transportation and processing) and (c) downstream (distribution and sale to end users/consumers).
The companies in the event are oil and gas and oilfield services companies, which means that they deal with activities (b) and (c). Transportation and warehousing (activity b) are the two major functions of logistics, while distribution and sale to end users/consumers (activity c) are the two major functions of supply chain.
Today’s complex and long supply chains are almost inevitably subject to disruption, stakes seem to have risen, whether due to intensifying trade disputes, political upheavals, or high-cost natural disasters, etc. Every day you hear about them in the news.
